Unlocking Purpose
"Never let past mistakes keep you locked into who you once were. Allow God to unlock who you are becoming."

You don't have to be in prison to be a prisoner of no purpose. Many individuals are walking free in the world while being held captive in their thoughts. In
John 8:31,32 Jesus tells us that it is the truth of His Word that will set us free. This freedom allows us to live out our purpose. Do you know that everyone has a purpose and it will be lived out either good or bad?
The good news is that the circumstances that you may be currently living in, don't have to live in you! God has a unique purpose He has specifically created and designed just for you! He has given you gifts and talents to be used to glorify Him. Finding and living out your purpose is what gets you unstuck in life. It is what makes you get out of bed in the morning with excitement and passion. It's what you were put on this earth for!
The KPM Leadership Academy is fulfilling one of its purposes by raising up leaders in the Texas prison system. One of our most fulfilling and rewarding outreaches is to those who are incarcerated. We are also so honored to reach the justice involved Veterans who served our country and came back with wounds that couldn't be seen and no purpose beyond their service duty. However, we are seeing God do great things behind the prison doors. Many mens lives are being transformed and they are experiencing the love and compassion of Jesus Christ.
I want to share a few of the testimonies of our students who have shared what change is taking place in their life as a result of the Academy. They are excited how they are finding purpose behind the prison walls.

Listen to how purpose in prison is rewriting the life story of our students......
Dear Kent and Priscilla
"Let me begin by saying thank you for giving us an opportunity to grow. It has been a true moment of growth and development for me. This course, "Beyond Success" has brought about a whole new perspective in my life. I know that this leadership training will have a profound impact on my future. I look forward to not only taking the next class but becoming certified as a "Roundtable Facilitator." This is a once in a life-time changing experience that I refuse to take for granted! I thank God for the opportunity to be blessed by the two of you. Thank you for everything and may God continue to bless you." J.S.
Dear Kent and Priscilla
"This leadership training has helped me in the way that I value people. It also is helping me with my most important relationship and that is with Jesus Christ. I have learned to value myself so that I can impact and value other people. I have learned to never give up and to look forward not backward. I have learned to motivate myself each and every day even when temptation comes. I have learned to be patient with myself and to walk in integrity, peace, love and to be a better believer in Jesus Christ. I am now a believer in life!" T.T.
Dear Kent and Priscilla
"This class has helped me be a better person and leader. Most of all, it has helped me improve my attitude. My priorities are now in order and I am able to focus on the things that are most important. My work ethic has improved more than I thought, even with me already having good intentions at work. Relationships are something that I have struggled with before this class. Now I have better relationships because I learned to focus on how I can add value to others, when before I was only looking to add value to myself. Thank you for this opportunity and for bringing and teaching us this class. I think this class should be available and taught in every TDCJ unit." D.S.
These are just a few of the many testimonies of lives that are being changed and transformed through the Academy. We are so grateful to be a part of what God is doing to help those who are looking to help themselves. God says that He looks on the heart of a man and these men are working hard every day to prepare themselves to fulfill their purpose. Purpose in prison is a vital part of their rehabilitation. Once they realize they have a purpose as a leader it prepares them for re-entry and reconnection back with their families, communities, and their country.
This time it will be different! These men will return home with tools to live a life of contribution and success. Knowing Jesus and His Purpose for your life changes everything. Purpose is changing the atmosphere in Prison!
