Remember this; Whoever sows sparingly, will also reap sparingly and whoever sows generously will also reap generously. Each of you should give what you have decided in your heart to give, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver.

Meet three of our amazing partners!

Meet Lisa:

I have been a tither and giver as long as I can remember. As a parent, I knew that the most important thing that I could teach my girls when they were growing up, was how to honor God in every area of their life. Most importantly, that included their finances and me modeling how to be a faithful and cheerful giver.

I have used this simple illustration with my daughters and many others over the years so they could easily grasp the importance and the simplicity of sowing (giving) and reaping (receiving). Here is the illustration.....

There were two farmers sitting on the front porch looking out into their fields. They were waiting with great anticipation for the first sign of their crop to sprout up from the ground. The older farmer looked and said, "I see my crop peaking up out of the dirt in the field!" The younger farmer said, "I don't see anything in my field!" The younger farmer with no sign of crops in his field asked the older farmer, "Why are your crops coming up and mine aren't?" The older farmer asked, "What did you plant?" The younger farmer replied "NOTHING!" The older farmer said, "Well if you planted nothing, I'm sure that's exactly the crop you can expect."

I taught my daughters to sow seed but not just anywhere, but to give into good ground that produces a bountiful harvest. Because of this, we have seen God do incredible things in all of our lives.

Just recently I had to go online to pay a doctor bill. I owed $700.00 and went to pay $25.00 as I had done the months prior. For whatever reason, it would not let me pay it online, so I had to call them.

To my surprise, the lady said, "Your balance is ZERO!" I said, "Well, that is impossible!" She assured me that it had been paid in full last month and I owed nothing. I told her, "well, that would have to be Jesus that paid it." To which she replied, "I wish Jesus would pay my bills!"

In a totally unexpected way, my bill was paid in full! What a testimony to God's goodness. YES, God will do what He promised. He says in Malachi 3:10, that He will open up the windows of heaven and pour into our storehouses so that we cannot take it all in. He has done that for me over and over again. The bible says, that He is no respecter of persons and if He will do it for me and my family, he will do it for you!

Kenton Pate Ministries is doing what God has called us all to do, and that is to share the love and compassion of Jesus Christ around the world. I am so blessed to be connected as a monthly partner. I am so excited to see lives changed and love seeing what is happening through this ministry. I am committed to being their partner for LIFE because this is good ground!! 

Meet Malyana:

When I was young, I remember always seeing my mom faithfully tithe and give. I saw the joy she had and she never worried about not having enough. God always provided for her, so I knew there had to be something to it. At the time, I didn't totally understand it however,

when I got my first job and received my first paycheck, I began doing what I had always watched her do. I was so blessed to see how God began to bless me in so many ways and give me that same feeling of peace and joy. I never seemed to be able to out-give God.

I am married now, work a full-time job and my husband and I are about to build our first home. It is so much more than we could have ever imagined! One day when I have children, I will teach them these same principles that have worked in my life.

God continues to increase us with blessings that I know are a direct result of our partnership with Kenton Pate Ministries. We are so blessed to be a part of something much bigger than ourselves. We know from God's word, that we will reap what we sow. It's God's promise. Because of our partnership, we are sowing into lives around the world. We are reaching so many lives that may never have had the opportunity to hear the life-changing message of Jesus.

Meet Haley:

My mom taught me when I was young the importance of giving God the first 10% off of everything I earned. So on my first job, I did just that! Even though I had never personally experienced what she was teaching me, she unknowingly had been teaching me for years.

I watched her example and I had determined that I didn't want to miss out on any of God's blessings. The more I sowed (gave), the more I reaped (received). I NEVER did without!

Then I got another job. For some reason, I didn't start tithing as I had done in the past. I struggled, and I mean STRUGGLED! I barely made ends meet and finally had to borrow from my mom and dad to meet my monthly obligations.

My mom would text me often and tell me she was so proud of me that I was a giver. I know she prayed for me daily and often encouraged me that I needed to start tithing and giving again. She tried to keep quiet about it, but I know it was hard to watch me implode. I was so stressed and financially I had never felt so much pressure. It was coming at me from every direction.

I finally got SO tired of barely making it (it was the prayer I assure you) that one day I called my mom. I said, "That's it, I'm tithing! I can't do this anymore!" I had $50.00 in my bank account and was not going to have enough to pay my car note. My mom and sister urged me to give the whole $50.00 and trust that God would do His part. To my mind, this made no sense, but I knew that God was faithful and as I gave it to Kenton Pate Ministries, I had a new sense of peace in my heart.

Well.... I gave the whole thing, and I will admit I was a bit nervous. That same exact day, I got a phone call from a lady and she wanted me to dog sit for her. She said that she would pay me $350.00! That was my car note!!! WOW!! God showed up quick and BIG!

I can't explain how God does it, all I know is that I honored Him that day with my tithes and He did what His word says. I will NEVER not tithe again! And every time I get a chance, I share my story with anyone who will listen. God is good ALL THE TIME!! I am a faithful giver to Kenton Pate Ministries because they are all about doing God's work and reaching people who need to know this God who takes care of his children and cares about all of our needs.
